At Soudabeh Sharafi DMD, we recognize that pregnancy can be a hard time for many women. We want your pregnancy to be as comfortable as possible, and we think that means keeping your mouth clean and healthy. Since we want you to keep solid oral health during your pregnancy, for your sake and for the baby’s sake, we’ve arranged the following tips you can use to keep your mouth strong.

-Keep a balanced diet to keep the enamel of your pearly whites tough and thwart tooth decay.

-Avoid consuming many sugary foods and juices, which can cause tooth erosion and periodontal disease, both of which can affect your baby.

-Let us know if you are expecting, and we will tweak your care accordingly.

-To stay comfortable in our office, think about bringing a pillow and some headphones along with you.

-Maintain routine cleanings with our practice, but forego non-emergency dental work until after the pregnancy.

-As always, brush your chompers two times daily and floss your pearly whites at least once per day.
